Abstract

In April 2023 in Kab. Sintang experienced inflation of 3.34 percent (y-on-y) or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 118.59 in April 2022 to 122.55 in April 2023. As of April, Kab. Sintang is included in the list of 5 cities with the lowest y-o-y inflation in Indonesia.

If viewed on a month-to-month (m-to-m) basis, April 2023 inflation is 0.36 percent, while the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for April 2023 is 0.62 percent. The dominant commodities contributing to inflation y-on-y in April 2023 include gasoline, household fuel, filter clove cigarettes, air transportation, rice, broiler chicken eggs, diesel fuel, gold jewelry, cement and catfish. Meanwhile, the dominant commodities contributing to m-to-m inflation in April 2023 include purebred chicken eggs, purebred chicken meat, wet shrimp, gold jewelry, filter clove cigarettes, dried instant noodles, tomatoes and watermelon.
